Easter ornaments

2 new tutorials for Easter

The first is in my Etsy shop, for the moment in French, but I'll translate it quickly so that my English-speaking subscribers can make it before the D-day.

Easter vase cartonnage tutorial
Egg-shaped vase

It's an egg-shaped vase. It's not very complicated to make, and the sides are made of 1mm cardboard, which is easier to shape.

Of course, you can't put water in it, but rather dried flowers or branches. As for me, I put a small glass vase inside, but you could also put in one or 2 soliflores. The more experienced will change the depth to suit their needs.

Have you heard of the German custom of decorating a tree or branches with multicolored Easter eggs to welcome spring?

Cardboard Easter decorations
Egg shape decoration for Easter

It's a decoration that can be made in an afternoon and requires very few supplies. I used leftover imitation leather for the arch, a small piece of fabric for the base, and a polystyrene egg that I covered with string. All this is explained in the tutorial. The edge of the cardboard is covered with mini beads, but you could also use colored sand, ribbon or small shells - it's all about making do with what you've got. You can also find these items at Perles and Co, VBS, or Creavea...
